Breitling Men’s Watch AVI 1953 Edition brushed and polished 18k Red Gold case, 41mm. Black main dial and sub-dials. Luminous Arabic numeral hour markers. Fined printed minute/seconds and fractions of a second track. Polished the hour and minute hands in Syringe shapes, with Vintage colored luminous fill. Crown of 18k Red Gold non-screw-locked with two gaskets. Small running seconds sub-dial located at the 9 o'clock position. Chronograph/Stopwatch functions: Column wheel mechanism; large central seconds hand counter, capable of keeping time up to 1/4th of a second; 15-minutes sub-dial counter located at the 3 o'clock position. Back in the 1950's a pilot's final plane check was expected to not exceed 15 minutes, hence, the importance of the 15-minute sub-dial with luminous indications; 12-hours counter sub-dial located at the 6 o'clock position. The 18k Red Gold bidirectional rotating bezel is secured by 3 screws that are placed in precisely the same positions as those on the watch from 1953. Breitling in house caliber B09 contains 39 jewels and has an approximate power reserve of 70 hours. The watch presented on a Black Calfskin Leather Strap with Tang Buckle Clasp of 18k Red Gold. The water resistance is up to 30m/99Ft.
